42 Azerbaijani servicemen left for Afghanistan to participate in a NATO-led peacekeeping mission, the press service of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said.
The peacekeeping mission of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in Afghanistan was launched on November 20, 2002. Currently, 94 Azerbaijani servicemen, 2 medical officers and 2 engineers are participating in it, Trend reports.
