Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy, Natig Aliyev, said at a briefing following the Azerbaijani-Kazakh intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation that the two sides agreed to expand cooperation in non-oil sector.
According to him, the two countries are similar in many ways, their economies are mainly dependent on the oil and gas sector." But the current situation in the world economy "is not very good and affects the economies of other countries."
According to the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, they discussed new mechanisms to increase the trade turnover between the two countries.
Natig Aliyev pointed to the need to intensify the cooperation in the transport sector, increase the volume of cargo transportation. "We are also interested in deepening of cooperation cooperation in agriculture, culture and tourism," the head of department noted.
