Baku hosts opening ceremony of FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup

The opening ceremony of the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is being held at the National Gymnastics Arena.

As the head coach of the Azerbaijani national rhythmic gymnastics team Mariana Vasileva told Vestnik Kavkaza earlier, the opening ceremony is called 'Let's look at the champions and become champions'.

The opening ceremony includes 178 gymnasts. Among them are rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatics and artistic gymnastics. except for gymnasts on trampoline. The creation of the ceremony took 10 days, although an idea and a work plan were worked out in advance.

The FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup will be held in Baku on April 28-30. Participation of 94 gymnasts from 21 countries is expected in the event, 37 of them will perform in the individual program, while 57 gymnasts will take part within the teams of group exercises. Athletes will compete for 8 medal sets.
