UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker will open the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2016), the Deputy Prime Minister, the SPIEF Steering Committee Chairman, Sergei Prikhodko, said.
"The Forum opening ceremony will be staged on June 16. We expect it will be attended by the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and the President of Guinea Alpha Conde," TASS cited Prikhodko as saying.
Prikhodko added that the Presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan Vladimir Putin and Nursultan Nazarbayev, as well as the Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Renzi will attend the plenary session, which will be held on June 17.
