Belarusian President to visit Georgia

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will pay an official visit to Georgia on March 22-23.

The program of the visit includes official negotiations with Georgia's President Giorgi Margvelashvili. The head of state will discuss the current state and prospects of the trade and economic cooperation, the press service of the Belarusian leader said.

They will also discuss the diversification and intensification of product deliveries, development of production cooperation, establishment of joint enterprises, cooperation in science, education and medicine, transport and logistics, implementation of infrastructure projects, BelTA reported.

Lukashenko and Margvelashvili will also discuss political cooperation, international contacts, the situation in the world and in the region. After the talks the sides are expected to sign a number of international documents. 

Apart from that, the Belarusian president is expected to meet with Georgia's Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II. 

As part of Lukashenko's visit to Tbilisi, the Minsk Days and the Georgian-Belarusian Business Forum will be held in the capital.
