Turkmenistan’s President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has congratulated Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s Independence.
The telegram marked Azerbaijan's success, "achieved over the years of independence in the political, economic and social spheres, as well as the high level of development of comprehensive relations" between the two countries.
Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that "the continued commitment of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan to the further expansion and deepening interstate dialogue is in the interest of the two peoples."
Turkmenistan's President wished Ilham Aliyev "good health, inexhaustible vitality and happiness."
"Please convey my sincere wishes of peace, further progress and prosperity to the friendly people of Azerbaijan," Trend cited Berdimuhamedov as saying.
