Turkmenistan’s President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has signed a decree to dismiss Begench Gundogdiyev from the post of Turkmenistan’s defense minister, Turkmen Dovlet Khabarlary state news agency reports.
He was appointed garrison commander of the naval forces of the country’s armed forces, according to the decree, the Secretary of the State Security Council, Yaylim Berdiev, has been dismissed from the post of the minister of national security and appointed the country’s new defense minister.
Guychgeldi Hojaberdiev, in his turn, was appointed Turkmenistan’s minister of national security, Trend reports.
