Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev appointed Berik Imashev the chairman of the Central Election Commission, the presidential press-service reports.
Imashev earlier served as the Justice Minister.
The Central Election Commission was earlier headed by Kuandyk Turgankulov, Trend reports.
