Rescuers have found a body of a UK mountaineer who fell down while descending from the summit of Mount Elbrus, the duty officer of the Elbrus mountain search and rescue team of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, Aslan Kurdanov, said.
"A UK mountaineer fell down during descent from Elbrus at a height of about 5500 meters. Rescuers were dispatched to the site, but they will have to go all night long," Kurdanov said.
According to him, a group of 10 people, mostly foreigners, were descending from Europe’s highest peak Elbrus (5,642 meters), when one of them fell down.
