The leader of the opposition party 'Democratic Movement', Nino Burjanadze, met Russia’s State Duma speaker Sergey Naryshkin in Moscow on August 17.
“Prospects of bilateral relations between Russia and Georgia, as well as situation in the Black Sea and South Caucasus region were discussed,” State Duma’s press office said.
It was Burjanadze’s fourth visit to Russia for talks with Russian officials since July, 2015, Civil.ge reports.
“This meeting with Naryshkin has ascertained me once again how important it is to have direct dialogue with high level Russian officials. I assure you that after the elections I will spare no effort to have a high level dialogue with Russia,” Burjanadze told journalists upon arrival back from Moscow.
