The next meeting of the working group on defining the legal status of Caspian Sea is scheduled for the beginning of September and it will be held in Moscow, it was announced by the special representative of the President of Iran on the issue of the status of the Caspian Sea, Ibrahim Rahimpur.
The meeting will discuss issues, previously not agreed by the littoral states, on the legal status of the Caspian Sea, he added. At the same time, Rahimpur pointed out that today the Caspian states have reached agreement on a number of issues.
According to the Special Representative of the President of Iran, the security of the Caspian Sea is fully ensured, the five coastal countries have the opportunity to use its biological resources.
However, there are still questions that need to be discussed. Their consideration will last as long as the parties do not reach an agreement, Trend quoted an Iranian diplomat as saying.
