Cavusoglu calls recording of Khashoggi killing 'disgusting'

Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said he has listened to a "disgusting" tape that allegedly captures the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

"I listened to it. He was killed within seven minutes. It was a deliberate murder," Cavusoglu told German daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung

Cavusoglu said he could hear the forensic doctor instructing others to listen to music while he cuts up the body.

"One notices that he's enjoying it ... he likes to cut up people. It is disgusting," the New York Times cited the Turkish foreign minister as saying.

Khashoggi, a Saudi journalist and columnist for The Washington Post, went missing after entering the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul on Oct. 2. After initially saying he had left the consulate alive, the Saudi administration admitted weeks later that he was killed there.
