During a meeting with the US Secretary of state Anthony Blinken on the sidelines of the G20 conference, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi demanded to stop slandering China and lift unilateral sanctions.
"The American side should stop spreading slander about the political system of our country, stop slandering China's domestic and foreign policy," he said. "The US should immediately lift increased tariffs on Chinese products and unilateral sanctions against Chinese companies.”
In addition, the Chinese minister asked the Americans to stop sending false signals to the Taiwanese separatists.
"We demand that the American side make more cautious statements and take more prudent actions. There is no need to send any false signals to the supporters of the so-called Taiwan independence," Wang Yi added.
