The members of the Council of Elders, which includes former heads of government and Nobel Prize winners, as well as prominent international diplomats and former politicians, will meet with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev today in Astana, the head of the French department of the Center for International Relations and Politics, Fabien Bossar, announced.
The Council of Elders plans to commend the role played by Astana in the non-proliferation of weapons and its assistance in finding solutions to the Syrian and Ukrainian crises.
The delegation has already held meetings with Kazakhstani officials, including the Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrisov, RIA Novosti reports.
