Counter-terrorism operation regime imposed on Dagestan’s Khasavyurt District

A counter-terrorism operation regime was imposed on the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan at 05.00 (MSK).

"Efforts are under way to locate and neutralize illegal armed groups and their supporters between the settlements of Kurush, Batayurt and Sadovoye," TASS cited a representative of the republic's operational headquarters as saying.

 A source in the power structures of the republic, in his turn, linked the introduction of a counter-terrorism operation regime with the murder of the imam of the local mosque in the village of Novy Kurush.
