The curfew time was increased in the city of Taraz (the administrative center of the Zhambyl region), a red level of danger was introduced, regional akim Berdibek Saparbayev said on the air of the state TV channel Khabar-24.
According to him, earlier the curfew started at 23.00, now it is forbidden to go outside starting from 19.00.
"Those who break the law will be punished. For two days we did not use force against the criminals. Because of this, they burned down a number of administrative buildings. Now we have begun to take tough measures against them," TASS quotes the head of the region as saying.
