Turkey does not intend to send troops to Syria to carry out a ground operation against the terrorist organization Islamic State, Turkey’s Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said.
"An important point was the air cover for the Free Syrian Army and other moderate elements fighting against the Islamic State. If we are not going to send in land units on the ground, and we will not, then those forces acting as ground forces cooperating with us should be protected," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
Ahmet Davutoglu said that "if they do not disturb Turkey, cut all relations with the Assad regime and cooperate with the opposition forces, they can well have a place in the new Syria".
