Dozen people detained in Tbilisi before Georgian Dream’s congress

In Tbilisi, on the eve of the ruling Georgian Dream party’s congress, activists staged a protest near the Expo Georgia exhibition centre.

The participants tried to stretch a banner with the words “Do not steal” to remind once again about the “falsification of the parliamentary elections”, but the police did not allow them to complete their action. After the protesters tried to block off Samtredskaya Street, a clash broke out with police.
