Russian historian Modest Kolerov believes that the mandate of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh will not be extended due to Yerevan's policy.
“Azerbaijan does not need peacekeepers there, and Armenia does not fight for them. Russia has withdrawn from the Minsk format of negotiations and has repeatedly spoken about this. What is Yerevan doing? If one member left the group, it is no longer legitimate. Then, why does Armenia not care about Russia? It is unlikely that the peacekeepers will remain after that,” Kolerov said.
