The European Court of Human Rights removed the case of ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili about inhuman treatment in prison from the list of cases under consideration, the press service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic reports.
The Court considered that in Saakashvili’s case there are no special circumstances from the point of view of human rights violations that are required for consideration of the claim.
"By this decision, the ECHR once again confirmed that the rights and interests of Mikheil Saakashvili are fully protected in the penitentiary system in terms of the European convention," the report reads.
