EU Council starts registration of visa-free regime with Turkey

Experts of the Council of the European Union started drawing up a visa-free regime with Turkey, Sputnik reports.

"Yesterday, the experts commenced the required legislative activities on the proposal of the European Commission," a source in the Council of the European Union said.

At the same time a spokesman for EU Parliament President Martin Schulz said earlier that the European Parliament will only start the legislative process on providing EU visa-free regime for Turkish citizens when Ankara meets all related requirements of the European Union.
