EU lawmakers to meet with Crimean authorities and public

Members of the European Parliament and legislators of the EU countries will meet with the Crimean authorities, the public and religious figures during their visit to the republic on March 19-21, the deputy chairman of the lower house’s international affairs committee, Alexei Chepa, said.

The European parliamentarians will take part in the international conference "The 100th Anniversary of the Russian Revolution" organized by A Just Russia party. 

The delegation consists of four European Parliament lawmakers and members of national parliaments of the EU member-states and also representatives of left-wing parties from across the world.

"The three-day visit envisages an ambitious program and numerous meetings with the activists of the Black Sea Association of International Cooperation and representatives of the public in one of the universities, and there will be a meeting with Crimea’s Mufti Emirali Ablayev and Metropolitan Lazar of Simferopol and Crimea," TASS cited the MP as saying.

A meeting with Chairman of Crimea’s parliament, the State Council, Vladimir Konstantinov is also scheduled to be held.
