Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters that the government is now considering its reaction to the Russian restrictions. He added that there will be "consultations with the armed forces and other departments."
"You know, we have not lived with natural gas all our lives. This nation is accustomed to hardship. Besides, there is no such thing, as we’ve done without Russian gas. I have already noted that we purchase natural gas from many other countries apart from Russia. We will overcome the problem with God's help," he said.
Erdogan also said that the authorities would not expel Russians who live in Turkey.
