Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty reporter Rikard Jozwiak wrote that the European Council will discuss the issue of liberalization of visa regime for Georgian citizens on October 5.
"Seems likely that there will be a green light on Wednesday for council to start negotiations with the European Parliament on Georgia's visa liberalization," Rikard Jozwiak posted on his Twitter page.
But he noted that the negotiations won't start until there's a deal with the European Parliament regarding suspension mechanism. "Next meeting on Thursday for this," he added.
At the same time he pointed out that Germany still want more consultations with the European Parliament before decision on visa liberalization on Georgia among EU ambassadors.
