Explosion in Turkey's Elazig: 140 police officers injured, 3 killed

The number of the injured as a result of car bomb attack on a police station in the southeastern Turkish province of Elazig has reached 140. Three polices officers were killed.

All the killed and wounded as a result of the car bomb attack on a police station in Turkey’s Elazig, are police officers. Ten of the 140 injured are in critical condition, the Hurriyet newspaper reports.

An explosion occurred at a police station.

Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim canceled his day's schedule and was heading to Elazig with the Defense Minister Fikri Isik.

Reports suggest that the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorist group stands behind the attack.

Another explosion happened near a police station in Turkey's eastern province of Van, killing three people and injuring more than 70.
