The fire at the Sadarak shopping center has been extinguished, according to the website of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The fire in one of the warehouses of the Sadarak shopping center in the Garadagh district of Baku was extinguished by the fire departments of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
"The fire at the Sadarak Shopping Center has been continuing for about 3 hours. At present, the fire is completely localized, there is no danger of fire," Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations, Lieutenant-General Etibar Mirzayev said.
According to him, the fire spread in the territory of 700 sq.m., in the warehouse, where various perfumes, deodorants, gas bottles were stored.
"The presence of large quantities of goods created an obstacle to enter the warehouse. The walls were destroyed with a tractor, after which we were able to go there. In a very short time, the fire will be completely extinguished," APA cited Mirzayev as saying.
