The first offshore platform of the South Pars gas field was installed in the Persian Gulf, an official of the Pars Oil and Gas Company, Hamid Reza Masoudi, said.
According to him, the platform will start production of 14 million cubic meters of gas per day by the end of the current Iranian fiscal year (March 2016). The construction of the platform is completed by 95%.
Masoudi added that Iran has reached self-sufficiency in designing, building, installing, and launching such platforms, Trend reports.
