Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan said that the first shipment of Azerbaijani fuel has crossed into Armenia via Georgia on Friday.
According to him, a train of 22 wagons "carrying 1,300 tons of Azerbaijani-origin A95 gasoline" has crossed the border into Armenia with neighboring Georgia through the railway station in the town of Ayrum.
Earlier, AI-95 fuel produced at the Baku Oil Refinery loaded into 22 railway wagons was dispatched from a terminal in Baku in accordance with agreements reached in late November.
Georgia will conduct the transit of fuel from Azerbaijan to Armenia through Georgian territory free of charge this time.
