Goalkeeper of FC Ararat Yerevan II Mushegh Ghevondyan has died of gunshot wounds in Yerevan, the FC Ararat-Armenia said in a statement on Facebook.
The Yerevan football club sent a letter of condolences to Ghevondyan’s family members, relatives, and friends on the death of the 23-year-old player.
The incident occurred on Monday night in the Kanaker-Zeytun District of Yerevan. Ghevondyan was taken to a hospital, but he died in the intensive care unit without regaining consciousness. Two other men were also hospitalized after the incident.
