Foreign investments in Georgia up 81% in 2015

Georgia's National Statistics Office 'Sakstat' said that foreign direct investment increased by 81% in the second quarter of 2015, compared to the same period of the previous year  and by 103% in the first quarter of 2015, reaching $355 million.

The largest investment was carried out in the transport and communications sector ( 58%), the financial sector (12%) and the manufacturing industry (8%), Sputnik Georgia reports.
