G20 Agriculture Ministers will discuss new challenges facing the industry at the meeting in Niigata on May 11-12, Japanese Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Takamori Yoshikawa said.
According to the Japanese minister, he also plans to hold separate meetings with his Chinese and South Korean counterparts to discuss the issue of lifting the partial food embargo, which imposed on Japan by these countries after the 2011 Fukushima nuclear power plant accident.
The G20 summit will be held June 28-29 in Osaka. This will be the first such forum in Japan.
