A gas explosion in a Tehran sports complex has killed three workers, Iranian state TV reported.
It says the explosion in the capital happened after heating gas leaked while the workers were carrying out repairs in a boiler room late Tuesday.
Spokesman of Tehran Fire Department Jalal Maleki said the explosion happened in the installations section when the three victims were working on a tank, IRNA reported.
The blast did not cause dilapidation of the building or fire, he said, adding that the cause of the incident is under investigation.
