The pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia has ended this year without any incidents, the chairman of the Russian Muftis Council, Ravil Gaynutdin, who carried out a service at the Moscow Cathedral Mosque marking the Eid al-Adha holiday, said.
"Yesterday the annual hajj of Muslims to the blessed lands ended. We sent 16,200 pilgrims from Russia this year and asked them to pray for our Russia and ask Allah for prosperity, peace and well-being for our peoples and our great country Russia. The hajj was held very calmly and without any incidents this year," TASS cited him as saying.
