Gelati Monastery and Diyarbakir fortress may enter World Heritage List

Bonn opened the session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Its members can include 36 sites in the UNESCO’s World Heritage list, the press service of the international organization said.

On the listing claimed five natural zones, 30 cultural and one natural and cultural site could enter the World Heritage List: Diyarbakir fortress in Turkey, Gelati Monastery in Georgia, Saint Mary's Cathedral in Hamburg, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park  in Vietnam and Sanganeb in Sudan, Singapore Botanic Gardens, Burkhan Khaldun - Chingis Khan's Sacred Mountain, Georgia Online reports.
