Georgia introduces German model of education

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili is appealing to students to study at the country’s vocational institutions, which now offer "totally renewed” approaches and guaranteed employment after studies.

Kvirikashvili highlighted the importance of a German model of a dual education, that meant students who studied at vocational educational centres would be guaranteed a job after completing their studies.

"I want to appeal to all students who are thinking about their future careers to pay attention to the new, absolutely different opportunities presented with vocational education, which ensures employment and a high-quality education,” Agenda.ge cited Kvirikashvili as saying.

The updated and new dual programs will be taught at vocational education centres in Akhaltsikhe, Katchreti, Senaki and Tsinamdzghvriantkari, where the state fully finances students’ studies.
