The Georgian government will introduce the German model of higher education in the country, the Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said at a meeting with representatives of Georgia’s Business Association.
He noted that this system has proven to be effective not only in Germany but also in other countries.
"This is important, as currently we actually encourage unemployment by financing less-necessary directions for the country. Annually, our education institutions produce five times more bankers than is needed," Georgia Online cited Kvirikashvili as saying.
He noted that Georgia lacks professionals in the spheres of animal farming, food technology and veterinarians.
