Georgian parliament speaker Irakli Kobakhidze called for improvement of all-out ties with Iran, parliamentary relations in particular.
"Development of ties with Iran is one of the top priorities," Kobakhidze said at a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Georgia Javad Ghavam Shahidi.
He thanked Iran for supporting Georgia and invited Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani to pay visit to the country.
The Iranian envoy, for his part, referred to 122% increase in Iranian tourists' visit to Georgia and called for broadening of financial and banking cooperation between the two countries.
"The two countries' capacity for trade cooperation is much more than the current volume," IRNA cited Shahidi as saying.
