Georgian Military Road partially closed

The traffic on the Georgian Military Road was partially closed due to heavy snow, low vision and the ice-covered surface, the Department of Highways of Georgia said.

"For vehicles with trailers, semitrailers and buses with a capacity of more than 30 seats in the areas of Mljet-Gudauri and Kobi-Lars it is permissible to drive with anti-skid chains. The road is open for vehicles with two or more chains," Interfax cited the statement.

In the Daryal Gorge, at the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars section, cars must not stop and movement is carried out only under the supervision of the patrol police, they added.
