In 2016 the Georgian government will allocate 4.5 million GEL to support religious communities, 2 million are intended for the country's Muslim community, AzerTAc cited the chairman of the State Agency for Religious Affairs of Georgia, Zaza Vashakmadze, as saying.
He noted that there are no contradictions or conflicts between religious groups in Georgia. Vashakmadze stressed that all communities in Georgia are operating in a climate of peace and friendship and the government has created all the necessary conditions.
