The Turkish leadership won’t allow several thousand refugees from Syria, who are on the border with Greece now, to cross it. They require several days to make them leave the border area, according to the governor of the province of Edirne, Ali Sahin.
"They have one goal: 'We will reach Greece by hook, or by crook.' But we are acting according to the law and customs agreements. If we don't have a request or permission from the Greek side to let people pass, we cannot let them cross the border."
