The statue of Hero of the Soviet Union, Chief Marshal of the ex-USSR Armored Tank Troops, Hamazasp Babajanyan, was unveiled today at the park adjacent to Babajanyan Street in Yerevan.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, the Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and several foreign army officers attended the event, News.am reports.
Grandmaster Rafael Vaganian and Chess Federation of Armenia (CFA) Vice President Hovik Khalikyan handed to President Sargsyan Marshal Babajanyan’s chessboard.
