Heads of General Staffs of the CIS countries will hold a meeting in Minsk to discuss the implementation of the concept of military cooperation till 2020 and the joint activities of the armed forces in 2017.
"A meeting of the Committee of Chiefs of Staff of the armed forces of the CIS member states will be held today in Minsk under the chairmanship of the Chief of General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, the First Deputy Minister of Defense, Valery Gerasimov," the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry said, noting that 11 issues will be submitted for consideration.
"Special attention at the meeting will be paid to the implementation of the Concept of military cooperation between the CIS countries till 2020 and conduction of joint activities of the armed forces of the CIS member states in 2017," the military department noted.
