The top Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander, Brigadier General Hossein Hamedani, has been killed in Syria on October 8.
He was killed near the city of Aleppo during his mission to provide consultations services to Syrian Islamic front forces against IS, IRGC's official website said.
Hamedani was appointed the Deputy Commander of the IRGC in 2005, Trend reminds.
