Azerbaijan is open to Italian gas infrastructure group Snam S.p.A taking a stake in the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said.
"Why not? If someone would allocate its shares to other companies I don't see any problems," 1news.az cited Aliyev as saying.
Earlier, Snam CEO Carlo Malacarne told Reuters that the company was ready to evaluate buying 20% of TAP.
