President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the chairman of the Russian Cinematographers Union, film director Nikita Mikhalkov.
The sides stressed that Azerbaijan and Russia successfully cooperate in all fields, particularly in the humanitarian sphere. It was noted that the visit of Mikhalkov will strengthen relations between Russia and Azerbaijan, and, namely, cooperation in the field of culture.
The film director said that he is satisfied with his visit and impressed by his meetings with Azerbaijani culture and art figures.
Nikita Mikhalkov presented the head of state with a collection of his films and a book released on the occasion of his 70th anniversary, Trend reports.
