Iran's Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade, Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, met with Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida.
The Iranian minister noted that there are vast areas of cooperation between the two countries, so Tehran will support all long-term economic and investment activities by Japanese companies in Iran.
Nematzadeh stressed that the expansion of mutual long-term activities is one of the important policies of his department. He also expressed interest in jumpstarting relations in engineering, technology and production fields.
The Minister also noted that the expansion of cooperation with Iran will open up a vast market for Japanese companies, but Iranian products should be introduced to the Japanese market as well, Iran.ru reports.
