Iran wants to strengthen cooperation with Kazakhstan in all the spheres, the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who arrived in Astana on an official visit, said at the meeting with his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev.
"We support the continuation of friendly brotherly relations between the two Muslim countries, which have historical relations," Rouhani said, adding that "positive steps in the field of bilateral relations were outlined" at the last meeting of the intergovernmental commission of the two countries in Tehran.
He also expressed his gratitude for "the good cooperation between Iran and Kazakhstan in the study of peaceful nuclear energy."
