Is OPEC concerned by rising oil output in Libya and Nigeria?

OPEC will invite Libya and Nigeria to the next meeting, which will be held in Vienna on September 22, a joint OPEC, non-OPEC monitoring ministerial committee said.

"The committee plans to invite Libya and Nigeria to the next meeting of the ministerial or the technical joint panels," Reuters cited the statement as saying.

The two African countries were exempt from the initial output cut agreement due to the "geopolitical instability" in the countries.

According to the OPEC statement, leading oil producers will discuss several options on how to deal with the global oversupply, including extending the output cuts beyond March 2018.
