The banned terrorist organization Islamic State can produce mustard gas without any assistance to use it as a chemical weapon, a source in the US administration said.
"We believe that the IS has a small research group, which improves the production technology of chemical weapons," RIA Novosti cited a source s saying.
According to other sources, the terrorists could use stocks of chemical weapons in Syria or Iraq. The source also said that they use powdered mustard packed into mortar rounds.
