Israeli Supreme Court lightens sentence for Olmert

The Israeli Supreme Court has reduced the prison term for former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert to 1.5 years from six years after overturning part of his conviction on bribery charges.

The former prime minister was convicted on March 31st 2014 for taking bribes during construction of the Holyland housing complex in Jerusalem.
